This theme is the transformation of a creative learning
process into a joyful application: an arrangement of
typographic harmonies or a typographic musical score,
music of letters, polyphony.
Joyce’s principal of verbal associating I have once again
rendered in the form of typographical associating, thus
imitating Joyce’s diction which is full of imagery: created
partly by onomatopoetical and typographical means, partly
by referring to the Book of Kells with its image-evoking
letters - a book which became one of Joyce’s most
important source of inspiration for his Finnegan’s Wake.
